The draft schedule for the third European Conference on Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies (LxAddictions19) is now online. The multidisciplinary meeting theme is “Future of addictions: New frontiers for policy, practice, and science.” Three plenaries open each conference day, focusing on new frontiers for addiction science, learning from the past to meet the challenges of the future, and horizons in addiction science.
The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction and six co-producers have organized topical meeting tracks that include plenary sessions, oral presentations, workshops, short communications, and guided poster tours. LxAddictions19 ends each day with a debate on costs and benefits of changes in cannabis policy; the role of industry in addiction science, policy, and actions; participation by civil society and affected communities to shape drug policies and services. The closing plenary session will focus on preventing deaths from heroin overdose and perspectives on designing information for impact and decision-making.
