The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the American Psychiatric Association (APA), are privileged to present a special research-based program track - The Science of Addiction: Translating New Insights Into Better Psychiatric Practice - during the 160th APA Annual Meeting.

This scientific track features compelling lectures on addiction-related topics ranging from the neurobiology of free will to the role of stress and genetics to treatment access. The ongoing collaboration between NIDA and APA will fuel the growing momentum needed to raise awareness of and address emerging issues in addiction and psychiatry.
