One of the greatest challenges in addiction research is the translation of research findings to practical clinical use. To that end, the Psychology of Addictive Behaviors journal recently published a special issue devoted to NIH-funded research aimed at integrating brain science and addiction treatment research. The authors address a range of addictive behaviors, such as alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, cocaine, and pathological gaming. The articles were organized and co-edited by NIDA and NIAAA grantees Sarah Feldstein Ewing (University of New Mexico) and Tammy Chung (University of Pittsburgh).
